Maxwell Chambers Suites to officially open on 8 August 2019

Maxwell Chambers Suites, the old Traffic Police headquarters along Maxwell Road, will officially open on 8 August as part of the expanded Maxwell Chambers after two years of restoration works. The expansion of the dispute resolution complex commenced in 2017 to meet the growing demand for dispute resolution services in Singapore. The opening date was announced by Home Affairs and Law Minister K. Shanmugam on Friday (April 26) at the Inter-Pacific Bar Association conference. Singapore, China to set up international panel of mediators for Belt and Road projects

On 24 January 2019, the China-Singapore International Commercial Dispute Resolution Conference took place in Beijing to support the development of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) and advance China-Singapore cooperation in international commercial legal services. Organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Singapore Ministry of Law, the organisation of the conference was supported by the CCPIT Legal Affairs Department, the CCPIT Mediation Centre, and Maxwell Chambers.
