CAM-CCBC and Maxwell Chambers sign cooperation agreement to enhance dispute resolution in Singapore and Brazil
Partnership strengthens international ADR reach and grants CAM-CCBC access to Singapore’s premier legal infrastructure and establishes a forward-looking model for cross-border collaboration, including CAM-CCBC’s virtual presence in Singapore.
The Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC) and Maxwell Chambers, a leading Singapore-based provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) infrastructure, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during ICCA Madrid 2026. The agreement marks an important step in their partnership and sets out a forward-looking model for cross-border collaboration between Latin America and Asia.
Two key provisions of the agreement enable CAM-CCBC to establish a presence at Maxwell Chambers in Singapore. First, CAM-CCBC will have priorty access to Maxwell Chambers’ world-class facilities, including specialised hearing rooms, workspaces, and technical support for arbitral hearings and mediation meetings conducted under its administration. Second, the MOU provides for the establishment of CAM-CCBC’s virtual presence, supporting closer institutional integration and facilitating ongoing collaboration across arbitration and mediation activities.
The initiative marks a significant step in CAM-CCBC’s international expansion, establishing a physical foothold in Asia through Singapore as a strategic hub. Beyond infrastructure, the partnership fosters institutional synergy through knowledge exchange and joint initiatives.
“Being able to rely on Maxwell Chambers’ facilities in Singapore will help us expand our international operations and strengthen ties with key dispute resolution centers in Asia,” said Silvia Rodrigues Pachikoski, Vice President of CAM-CCBC.
This MOU reflects a shared commitment to building stronger connections between Latin America and Asia, with Singapore as a key hub,” said Ban Jiun Ean, Chief Executive of Maxwell Chambers. “By combining physical infrastructure with a virtual presence, we are creating more practical pathways for institutions and users to collaborate across borders and access high-quality dispute resolution services. Under the MOU, both institutions commit to co-organizing events, conferences, and academic initiatives aimed at advancing ADR practices. Furthermore, the parties will explore opportunities for technical development and the exchange of non-confidential information to improve user experience and identify new collaboration frontiers.
