Maxwell Chambers is the world’s first integrated dispute resolution complex, housing both best-of-class hearing facilities as well as top international ADR institutions.

What are your opening hours?

We are open 24/7 to cater to different timezones, with round-the-clock security and individually-accessed security to your meeting rooms. The business centre is also fully equipped to suit your needs.

How do I get to Maxwell Chambers?

By Train: Take the East-West line to EW15 Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. Please head towards Exit B.

By Car: From Maxwell Road, turn into Wallich Street and proceed to the drop-off point located at the building entrance.

Do you have a carpark?

No, we do not have a carpark. However, there are carparks in the vicnity at Guoco Tower (sheltered) and along Peck Seah Street behind Maxwell Chambers Suites (open air). More information here

What can your facilities be used for?

Our premium rooms are primarily used for Dispute Resolution hearings, including arbitration and mediation.

In addition, our rooms can also be used for meetings, seminars, conferences, and corporate functions.

What type of room arrangements can be set-up?

All our room layouts are customizable based on your requirements – including U-Shape, Classroom, Theatre or Cluster. Share with us your requirements for us to assist you.

What is the maximum capacity of your rooms?

The seating capacity varies depending on the size of the room and your desired seating arrangement. Share with us your requirements

Are you able to arrange catering?

Yes, we provide catering. Please note that all F&B must be catered through Maxwell Chambers and its suppliers. Our exclusive Maxwell Chambers F&B menus are available upon request.

Are you able to provide vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free food?

Yes, we are able to cater to dietary requirements. Please inform our staff when placing lunch and catering orders.

Can I book a room for 1 hour / 2 hours?

A minimum booking of half a day applies as a base rate. Additional charges apply for hourly extensions. Share with us your requirements.

Is your building wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all 4 floors in the building are accessible via lift lobby. We also have wheelchair-accessible toilets.

What is your dress code?

Please be advised that our dress code policy is business attire. No slippers, sandals, shorts and bermudas are allowed within the premises. Maxwell Chambers reserves the right to refuse entry to visitors who do not adhere to our dress code policy.

Virtual Hearings

What is a virtual hearing?

A virtual hearing is a hearing conducted by audio-visual means, where cases take place without the need for participants to attend the hearing in person.

What do I need to access a virtual hearing?

You will require a laptop with a webcam and microphone function, and earphones with a microphone function to facilitate this video-conferencing. The device must be connected to a stable and high-speed internet connection to ensure good video quality.

How can I prepare for a virtual hearing?

We strongly encourage you to participate in the test call, especially if you are an active speaker. Test calls will be also conducted with all parties of the hearing (including tribunal, witnesses, experts, transcription provider, EPE presenter) prior to the start of the hearing. The timing of the testing will be communicated to the parties in advance via email.

Can I choose which video conferencing platform to use?

Yes, Maxwell Chambers is platform agnostic. Please share with us your preferred platform, or let us recommend the most suitable platform for your requirements.

How many parties can join the virtual hearing?

Maxwell Chambers video conferencing platform allows up to 100 participants for each hearing, with unlimited breakout rooms based on your requirements.

How do I deal with technical issues during a virtual hearing?

A virtual hearing manager / moderator from Maxwell Chambers will be present throughout the course of the hearing to assist the parties.

Will the hearing be recorded?

Complimentary recording of the hearing can be provided with the consent and acknowledgement from the Tribunal.

What is the role of the Maxwell Virtual Hearing Moderator?

As a neutral party, Maxwell Chambers facilitates virtual hearings in accordance with protocols and best practices, ensuring confidentiality of all proceedings.

We ensure seamless proceedings of your hearing from end-to-end. A Maxwell Chambers Virtual Hearing Manager will be present throughout the hearing to ensure it runs smoothly – taking parties through hearing etiquette and schedule, ensuring connectivity and quality of the video conference, allowing participants into the hearing based on the attendee list, creating virtual breakout rooms and troubleshooting any technical difficulties.

Hybrid and In-Person Hearings

What is a hybrid hearing?

A hybrid hearing is a combination of both virtual and in-person hearings, where at least one party is physically present at Maxwell Chambers.

What do I need to access a hybrid hearing?

For parties accessing the hearing virtually, you will need the latest version of the video conferencing platform (Zoom / BlueJeans or similar VC platform), a laptop with a webcam and microphone function, and earphones with a microphone function to facilitate this video-conferencing. The device must be connected to a stable and high-speed internet connection to ensure good video quality. You will receive an invitation link to access the hearing before the hearing.

For parties present at Maxwell Chambers, the room will be set-up based on your requirements in one of our acoustically-treated hearing room, based on the number of attendees. If you require EPE and/or Transcription services, the equipment will also be set-up for you. You may wish to bring along your personal laptop should you wish to have a separate log-in to the hearing.

How do I deal with technical issues during a hybrid hearing?

A virtual hearing manager / moderator from Maxwell Chambers will be present throughout the course of the hearing to assist the parties.
Our IT / AV team will also be on-site to assist.

How many parties can join the hybrid hearing?

Maxwell Chambers video conferencing platform allows up to 100 participants for each hearing, with unlimited breakout rooms based on your requirements.

For parties at Maxwell Chambers, the hearing and breakout rooms will be allocated based on the number of attendees. Based on safe management measures, our rooms can accommodate up to 40pax in the main hearing room.
