This masterclass examines that interface in depth, using the launch of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Restructuring and Insolvency Arbitration Protocol as a starting point. The Singapore Convention Week (SC Week) is a premier event in Singapore dedicated to dispute resolution, encompassing arbitration, mediation, and litigation. It serves as a vital platform for thought leaders, practitioners, policymakers, and experts to explore emerging trends, tackle common challenges, discuss innovative approaches, and foster change.

Scheduled for August 25to August 29 2025, this year’s SC Week is organised by the Singapore Ministry of Law (MinLaw) in partnership with various organisations. The week promises an engaging agenda filled with keynote addresses, panel discussions, debates, workshops, lectures, networking opportunities, and site visits.

Join us for a Pinsent Masons online webinar on “Latest Evolutions in Arbitration for Energy and Infrastructure: A Strategic Reflection”. Experts from SIAC and Pinsent Masons will discuss the SIAC Rules 2025 and their implications for infrastructure and energy disputes. Speakers include Jay Shin (SIAC) and Nicholas Turner, Chan Yong Neng, and Soomin Jun (Pinsent Masons).

At this short symposium Dr KV Krishnaprasad and Timothy Pilkington will consider fundamental ideas in the law of unjust enrichment. Both speakers are barristers, practising at One Essex Court in London and Thornton Chambers in Wellington respectively. Dr Pilkington is also an adjunct lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington, where he lectures on property law. In both cases the research to be presented was conducted in the course of doctoral research at the University of Oxford
