In this presentation, Professor Nadja Alexander examines international mediation developments since the coming into force of the Singapore Convention on Mediation in 2020. Drawing on the trends identified in the SIDRA Survey on International Dispute Resolution, she explores the increasing and differentiated use of mediation in mixed mode procedures, how technology is challenging conventional understandings of mediation, and corresponding shifts in international mediation law and practice.
